Jennifer Eidum, associate professor of English, published the article "Peace Corps Networks: Activating Volunteers for a Lifetime," in the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs.

Elon recently recognized five students who completed the Peace Corps Prep program, which includes training and experience in a specific work sector, foreign language proficiency, intercultural competency, and professional leadership and development skills.

Students in Jennifer Eidum's Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Theory & Practice course attended a workshop on commitment statements led by Beth Godbee, creator of Heart-Head-Hands: Everyday Living for Justice.

After being recognized in 2021 as a top ten Peace Corps Partner University, ten more Elon students received certificates for successfully completing the Peace Corps Prep program.

Eidum, assistant professor of English, published the article "Embracing Disruption: A Framework for Trauma-informed Reflective Pedagogy," in the journal Reflections: A Journal of Community-Engaged Writing and Rhetoric.

The first Elon University English Language Teaching Symposium was held Saturday, Feb. 16, bringing together more than 100 local educators for presentations, active learning sessions and two keynote presentations by national leaders in English language education. The ELT Symposium focused on the theme of "Bridging Divides | Creating Community."
