As part of his visit to Elon's campus for Fall Convocation on Friday, Sept. 29, entrepreneur and star of the ABC hit "Shark Tank" Daymond John fielded business pitches from four Elon students.

In this column, Brooks Fuller, director of the North Carolina Open Government Coalition and assistant professor of journalism, assesses the impact of recent legislative changes that exempt many records of the General Assembly from public scrutiny.

During summer 2023, the innovative program saw more than 40 Elon students working with a range of Alamance County businesses and organizations through university-funded internships.

Associate Dean and Professor Tony Weaver moderated the panel discussion following the official opening of the new Elon University in Charlotte.

Elon University in Charlotte will serve students, parents, alumni and the community, offering collaborative learning, networking and professional development opportunities.

Elon continues to be the leader in the “Programs to Look For” feature as the only college or university in the country ranked in the top 20 in all eight categories of academic programs linked to student success and positive learning outcomes.

The event is an opportunity to gather with family, friends, and neighbors to eat, drink, and listen to music with the Historic Depot as the backdrop. 

Rozanovich visited Elon on Wednesday, Sept. 6, as part of the Lessons from Leaders series at the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.

Campus Pride, a national resource for LGBTQ+ leadership development, diversity inclusion and advocacy within higher education, recently announced Elon as one of the "Best of the Best" in supporting LGBTQIA students. 

Among those visiting Elon will be journalist and author Mónica Guzmán, entrepreneur Daymond John, activist and CEO Reshma Saujani and the authors of “We are Charleston: Tragedy and Triumph at Mother Emanuel.”
