New York City-based freelancer Yana Paskova led an Oct. 22 presentation titled “Cuba in Transition,” which detailed her international work as well as her own upbringing in Europe.

Fourteen School of Communications alumni offered advice to current students about finding a job, succeeding on a professional level, and how their Elon experiences enhanced their careers.  

Elon University graduates Nicole Tolbert ’03 and Ryan Sweeney ’10 discussed their early career paths, how they established themselves in their respective fields, and the changing climate in media analytics.

While studying abroad in Prague last fall, Elon University senior Liam Hall co-wrote and co-directed “Tři Cíga,” an eight-minute short film gaining attention on the festival circuit, including the New Orleans Film Festival.

During National News Engagement Day, the school organized initiatives that encouraged students, faculty, staff and alumni to interact with the news.
