Gabrielle Beamon ’19, Ozelle Bower ’19, Anissa Cooper ’19 and Janay Tyson ’19 are among the 60 undergraduate students nationwide to receive highly selective scholarships provided by The LAGRANT Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes diversity in the fields of advertising, graphic design, marketing and public relations.

Cinelon Productions Film Festival to screen 26 student films

Cinelon Productions will host its annual showcase on Thursday, May 3, in Turner Theatre. The festival begins with a red-carpet event at 6 p.m., followed by film screenings at 7 p.m.
Communication design majors earn several accolades, including three ADDY Awards

Elon seniors Rachel Hayes and Shelby Baitsholts were recognized by Triangle AdFed for their creative works produced as part of the communication design curriculum. Additionally, Baitsholts’ package design earned a silver medal in an Innovation Center for Design Excellence competition.

While attending the 2018 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, students in the School of Communications’ documentary production program enjoyed films from around the world, observed filmmaker events and panels, and met award-winning documentarians. The students will screen their own works on campus at the elondocs Documentary Showcase on Tuesday, April 24.
