The Elon University student media organizations collected three Best of Show awards in a contest hosted by the North Carolina College Media Association.

Ben DeLoose’s new movie, “Escape the Dark,” will be shown at the Carolina Theater in Durham on Friday, Feb. 23, and Saturday, Feb. 24.

Six members of Live Oak Communications had the opportunity to create a communications campaign for the American Automobile Association (AAA) through Project Echo, a two-year-old partnership with a Greensboro-based professional content marketing agency.

Strategic communications major Rachel Hobbs ’18 was one of two finalists for the national award, which was presented at the 2018 PRWeek Awards Dinner and Presentation on March 15.

Elon faculty members Tony Weaver, Caroline Ketcham and Eric Hall will partner with the university’s nine fellow Colonial Athletic Association member institutions to study access issues for student-athletes to high-impact educational practices.

The 2018 Communications Internship Showcase & ePortfolio Review drew 35 organizations to the School of Communications to meet with students seeking internships, employment opportunities and career advice.

The School of Communications faculty members published “The Student-Run Agency: Transitioning from Student to Professional” to serve as a guide for students to navigate their way through the student agency experience.

School of Communications students earned a total of five awards in the Broadcast Education Association’s Festival of Media Arts.
