The online magazine names Elon second in its list of top schools for communications majors, citing the strength of the school’s programs and singling out Live Oak Communications. 

Abby Bradbury ’13 works in the athletics department at the University of California, Berkeley, and shared her personal and professional insights with Associate Professor Hal Walker’s Contemporary Sport Management class.

During Planning Week, the School of Communications hosted faculty/staff development sessions, taking a closer look at Google Tools, drones, interactive screens, and film and video lighting. 

The School of Communications lecturer was heralded as the “epitome of a scholastic journalism supporter and advocate” by the Virginia Association of Journalism Teachers and Advisers. 

While the Aug. 21 event may have been underwhelming – thanks, clouds – the occasion provided a wonderful photo op during the annual school photo shoot.

During his 10-week fellowship this summer, the Elon University journalism and media analytics double major joined 28 student journalists to investigate drinking water contamination in communities across the country.

The award is given to advisers yearly in recognition for their contributions to their campus media outlets.

This week 26 students officially started Elon’s Master of Arts in Interactive Media program, beginning a 10-month journey that will prepare them to think, design and develop content across all media platforms.

The July 20 article highlights the Elon graduate’s on-air position with SportsNet New York and his close relationship with his prominent father, MSNBC host Brian Williams.
