Nine communications faculty and staff members attended the Broadcast Education Association’s annual conference and Festival of Media Arts, where “Elon Local News” members accepted a “Best of Festival” King Foundation Award.

Assistant Professor of Sport and Event Management Shaina Dabbs and her co-authors examined issues relating to work-life balance for sport management scholars and practitioners.

The Interactive Media graduate returned to campus to summarize her career path from Elon to Amazon, where she starts a new position next week.

The School of Communications student is one of approximately 20 college students in the nation selected for the Vance and Betty Lee Stickell Student Internship Program presented annually by the American Advertising Federation. 

The school hosted its end-of-year awards celebration on April 20 to acknowledge high achievement from students and faculty.

The associate professor of communications investigated how public relations was used to promote sex education initiatives immediately before and during World War I. 

Associate Professor Rich Landesberg and nine School of Communications students traveled this week to New York City, touring the facilities of several major network news organizations and meeting with high-level broadcast news professionals, including Brian Williams and Michael Radutzky, members of Elon’s Communications Advisory Board.

The School of Communications lecturer and entrepreneurship major led a theory and practice-in-action workshop at the Co|Operative, a nonprofit business startup incubator in Graham.
