The School of Communications professor analyzed the factors that are helping or hindering the voting intention and behavior of Costa Ricans who live abroad in the newly granted external voting process.

Elon University staff member Ryan Witt and senior Brian Szymanski partnered to produce an entry for the fan-made commercial contest and their submission was named a semifinalist for the competition’s $1 million grand prize.

The sport and event management class hosted a fundraising event benefiting Helping Other People Eat – or H.O.P.E. – a nonprofit organization fighting hunger in Alamance County.

The associate professor of communications was reelected in November at the National Communication Association’s annual convention.

The journalism major will participate in a 10-week investigative reporting assignment at Arizona State University this summer, examining voter access and participation in a national election year.
