Research from two School of Education faculty, four current students and one alum was presented at the American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting in New York City.

Students from the ABSS Career and Technical Education Center learned about the role of biomechanics in understanding and improving human performance on April 11, 2018. Presentations and activities about balance, running, throwing, and jumping showcased biomechanics as an emerging science.

Overman's co-authors on the peer-reviewed research articles include two current Elon students as well as collaborators from Penn State University and North Carolina A&T State University.

The presentation highlighted two projects of Catherine Bush, adjunct assistant professor of biology and research fellow at the Center for New North Carolinians at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. 

Thursday’s events include a conversation with two local Holocaust survivors and a film screening, a Ceremony of Remembrance, Reading of the Names, and Remembrance and Resistance - Theatrical Readings and a Discussion.

Paula Patch, senior lecturer in English and College Writing Coordinator, presented on a crosscultural approach to teaching first-year writing at the 5th annual Southern Regional Composition Conference in Memphis.

Elon's departments of Communications, Political Science & Policy Studies, and History & Geography had representation at this annual convention.

Talent manager and publicist Brad Lemack will release his third book, “The New Business of Acting: The Next Edition," in September.
