Members of the Political Science Department attended and presented at the Annual Meeting of the International Studies Association in San Diego, Calif., April 3-6, 2012.

Thomas Erdmann, professor of music, had two 6,000 word articles featured on the front cover of the May/June 2012 issue of Saxophone Journal.

Mary Gowan, professor of management in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was an invited faculty member for the recent North Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists Annual Conference Continuing Education Program.

Tom Nelson, an associate professor in the School of Communications, presented his documentary "Prisoners of Plenty" to the Popular Culture Association.

Barbara M. Miller, assistant professor in the School of Communications, had an article published in the March 2012 edition of Risk Analysis (Vol. 32, Issue 3) titled “Risk perceptions in a resource community and communication implications: Emotion, stigma, and identity."

Kirsten Doehler, assistant professor of statistics, published an article with Lisa M. Hooper, Peter J. Jankowski, and Sara E. Tomek.

Professor of philosophy Yoram Lubling's recent book in Hebrew, Met Pa-amaim, was chosen to be the topic of this year's meeting of the Center for Culture and History of the Jewish People at Haifa University, Israel.
