A program directed by Elon School of Communications 2002 graduate Audrey Seagraves has received a prestigious international technology award. The online "Fair Wage Guide," managed by Seagraves, is a tool to assist millions of workers in the developing world who live below the poverty level.

In August 2007, Taylor Trensch '11 began his freshman year in Elon’s music theatre program. One of the first people he met was then-senior Matt Shingledecker '08, who became his mentor in the program. Little did either know that two years down the road, they’d meet each other again – this time as castmates in the first national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical “Spring Awakening.”
Elon alumna Courtney Kennedy ’05 named Alamance-Burlington Teacher of the Year

Kennedy, who earned her elementary education degree from Elon in 2005, is a kindergarten teacher at North Graham Elementary School. On Wednesday, she was named the Alamance-Burlington School System 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year.
Newsweek-Kaplan names Elon “The Leader in Engaged Learning”

Elon University is one of 25 colleges and universities highlighted in the 2010 edition of the Newsweek-Kaplan college guide. This is Elon's second appearance in the guide; in 2006 Newsweek-Kaplan named Elon the nation's "hottest college" for engaged learning.

Career Services launches redesigned web site

Elon University students and alumni will find it even easier to connect and take advantage of resources offered by Career Services on a newly redesigned web site that launched Thursday. The new site will help students, parents, and alumni more easily stay up-to-date with the 125+ on-campus programs, workshops, and other events offered each year by Career Services.
