Hosted by the School of Communications and the Department of Public Health Studies, an informal conversation on Nov. 10 spotlighted seven Elon alumnae and their experiences working in the expanding field of health communications.

The Elon alumnus was recognized for his anchor work at KSTP-TV, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Awards ceremony this weekend.

Mathea Jacobs '04 manages KidZone TV, a state-of-the-art, interactive production and internal broadcast studio within the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. In this role, Mathea gives patients an opportunity to have interactive, educational and fun experiences during difficult times.

The Elon alumnus, who studied sport management and Spanish, is finishing up his first season as the player education and cultural development coordinator for the MLB organization.
