Elon's women's basketball team, seeded No. 11 in their region, will play in College Park, Maryland, on Friday, March 17, in the first round of the Tournament. 

First-year student Molly Offstein of Frostburg, Maryland, was seriously injured on March 7 when she was hit by a car while out for a morning run. 

Reeves comes to Elon from Radford University, where he has served as head coach for the past seven seasons. 

Curt Cignetti was introduced to the Elon community at a January 2 news conference in Alumni Field House.

Elon parents Ken and Malinda Gill of Charlotte, N.C., are among the donors who have recently made generous gifts to support the Schar Center, the university’s new 5,400-seat convocation center.

Fans can buy tickets to the women's basketball game for as little as $4 as part of a Black Friday special.

The teams will be in the country Nov. 18-27 competing and participating in an oversears learning experience. 

Along with the traditional celebration of Veterans Day events, the university is hosting Military Appreciation Day for Elon's football game at Rhodes Stadium. 

The new 5,100-seat convocation center is scheduled to be completed in mid-2018 and will become home to Elon's basketball and volleyball programs. 

The team was preparing to depart Rome after a 10-day trip through Italy that combined international competitions with cultural learning experiences.
