The student-run news organization was recognized at the North Carolina College Media Association’s annual conference held Feb. 22 at Appalachian State University.

The Department of Physical Therapy Education once again made its presence felt at the prestigious American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in February 2025 in Houston with 12 presentations.

The Lumen Prize-winning junior has twice published essays about her research in Albinism Insight, the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation's quarterly journal, after funding allowed her to travel to its national conference last summer.

Associate Professor Cathy Quay, chair of Elon University’s Department of Nursing, has been appointed to a committee that evaluates nursing program applications to a worldwide accreditation body.

Elon University students captured 11 awards in the 2025 BEA Festival of Media Arts, an international competition recognizing excellence in digital media and broadcasting. Most notably, Brandon Cericola ’26 and Kate Rivera ’25 turned their Audio for Sound and Digital Media class assignment into a Best of Festival award.

The Eta Zeta chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was awarded the Sherry Server Tilley Leadership Award, its second consecutive Crown Chapter Award, and recognition in the Founder’s Club at the $75,000 level.

The former teacher has created Transforming Nations Ford, a community development nonprofit to amplify voices in underserved communities of color in parts of North Carolina’s Queen City.

For five years as the faculty fellow for community-based learning, Motley has been a tireless advocate for reciprocal campus-community relationships.
