The title of Harrison’s talk is “Reinventing Charity: How to Innovate for Sustainable Change.”

The three-time #1 New York Times bestselling author joined Associate Professor of English Prudence Layne for a virtual discussion about antiracism broadcast live to the Elon community on Monday night.

The online event on Monday, Sept, 21, at 7:30 p.m will be moderated by Professor Prudence Layne and can be viewed at www.elon.edu/live.

On Sept. 12, 2001, more than 1,000 students, faculty and staff gathered in Alumni Gym following the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. to share their thoughts and reflect.

The author of "Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do," joined the Elon community for a live discussion of the university's Common Reading selection on Sept. 9.

From Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, the university will celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of the Latinx/Hispanic communities to the United States.

What has traditionally been a weekend of festivities has now been extended to a multi-day extravaganza of memorable celebrations taking place Oct. 12-18.

The performance will be streamed live with a limited number of tickets to attend in person available to students, faculty and staff.

The event organized by the Black Student Union provided members of the Elon community a chance to come together and advocate for change.

Katharine Wilkinson, a climate author, strategist, teacher, and vice president at Project Drawdown, will discuss 'Vital Questions for a Living Planet' on Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
