The faculty of COR interdisciplinary capstone seminars will participate in an organizational meeting, including conversation about different capstone projects being used and other pedagogies for integrating learning.  

Intended Audience: All faculty teaching COR capstone seminars during 2017-18 (and others who would like to attend).

On Monday, Aug. 28, from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., first-year and transfer students will meet in small groups with a faculty member to talk about their academic responsibilities for learning at Elon. This session will allow faculty to discuss the event and to share ideas.

Intended Audience: Faculty who will be leading Engaged Learning Sessions, especially those leading for the first time

Community members will pick up glasses at the community picnic suitable for viewing the partial eclipse.

Recipients of the Elon Medallion, the university’s highest honor, will be announced and faculty members accepting named professorships will be recognized at a gathering in Alumni Gym at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 21.
