Fourteen first and second year physician assistant students, four faculty members and an alumna participated in events at the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) National Conference, held May 16-20, 2017 in Las Vegas.

Nita Skillman was honored with the Emerging Leader Award at the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) 2017 Annual Conference on Sunday, June 4.

Lee Bush and Hal Vincent from the School of Communications attended the Integrated Marketing Communications Conference in Wilmington, N.C., and shared their insights on user-generated selfies and live video, and the implications of this social content in both developing and teaching communications strategies.

Carleigh High, Chris Scott, Kellie Ruffer and Chris Antonelli and Joanna Bayliss along with Professor Janet M. Cope recently published manuscripts in the International Journal of Anatomical Variations. 

Nita Skillman and Charity Johansson presented a workshop, “Advanced Training of Standardized Patients for Dementia Care”, at the 2017 Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) annual conference in Alexandria, Virginia.

English Professor Rosemary Haskell writes about her fascination with the Dunkirk evacuation during World War II, which saw her father among those who were rescued. 

Associate Professor Haya Ajjan discussed how organizations can use AI to focus less on data preparation and more on data exploration and business solutions.
