Online course instruction and residencies-in-practice will continue for the spring trimester after Elon Law administrators, in light of statewide stay-at-home orders, announced the closure of all facilities until the end of the 2020 Spring Trimester.

As Elon students continue the semester online, education majors are getting firsthand experience in the flexibility it takes to be an educator.

Assistant Professor Taleed El-Sabawi at Elon Law, and Assistant Professor Jennifer Carroll in Elon University’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology, have been selected for a program funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the Justice Community Opioid Intervention Network Coordinating and Translational Center.

The Information Technology Service Desk will extend its hours to offer technology assistance to the Elon community during the university's transition to online learning.

The campus-wide change made in response to the COVID-19 outbreak comes as classes resume following Spring Break. Since Elon announced the change on March 11, faculty members have been working diligently to create robust online learning experiences for students.

The new policy was enacted in response to questions and concerns raised by Elon faculty, students and staff due to the extraordinary circumstances created by the coronavirus outbreak.
