Allocco’s invited talk at the University of Helsinki is the last of five she has presented about her current project, "Domesticating the Dead: Invitation and Installation Rites in Tamil South India," this academic year.

This year saw 80 percent of Elon University employees make gifts to the institution in support of student scholarships, athletics programs and more. The increased engagement comes as Elon pursues its ambitious Elon LEADS Campaign, which seeks to raise $250 million during the next three years. 

The co-authored research examines the external pressures within the human resource industry influencing an increased demand for HR certifications. 

The assistant professor of sociology analyzed how Americans define racism and political correctness, as well as their views on how race is determined. 

The Elon University Opera Workshop performed a concert for residents at The Village at Brookwood on May 1. 

Assistant Professor of English Heather Lindenman delivered the keynote address at “Difficult Conversations: Making Space for Diverse Ideas in the Writing Classroom,” Old Dominion University’s 40th annual spring conference on the teaching of writing.

The professor of music had an article published in The International Trumpet Guild Journal.

The funding will support her project "Knock and Talk: Public Health-Public Safety Partnerships for Post-Overdose Outreach and Prevention."
