The projects and Holly Hodge, director of interior design, were honored in the recent competition for the Association of University Interior Designers. 

The chair of the Communications Department served as one of three members on the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications accreditation site visit team at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. 

Peter Felten, assistant provost for teaching and learning and executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning, was one of two honored with the award at the group's recent annual conference. 

Rebecca Todd Peters, professor of religious studies, was selected for this inaugural cohort to work alongside researchers and staff at the Public Religion Research Institute on policy issues. 

 

 

Faculty and students from Elon’s elementary education program represented at the N.C. Council of Teachers of Mathematics state conference on Nov. 1 and 2.

All faculty and teaching staff are invited to attend this Center for Writing Excellence-sponsored lunch workshop offered by Associate Professor of Mathematics Karen Yokley on "Teaching Writing and Writing-to-Learn in Math and other Quantitative Fields." 

 

The Professor of Art History discussed archival revelations in the study of Belle Époque painter Madeleine Lemaire.

The success of the 11 students who competed means they will advance to the Mid-Atlantic Regionals to be held in Maryland in March. 

Sophie Adamson, associate professor of French and chair of the Department of World Languages and Cultures, presented at the annual conference of the Foreign Language Association of Teachers of French in Durham, N.C.
