Assistant Professor Jen Dabrowski of the Department of Chemistry joined the Elon faculty in 2015. 

Professor Cynthia Fair of the Department of Public Health Studies is renowned for her research into the changes in the HIV/AIDS epidemic. 

Professor Tom Mould from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology becomes Elon’s second faculty member to receive the honor.

Allegra Laing, assistant director of diversity and inclusion in study abroad, was nominated unanimously as chair for NAFSA Region VII for 2020.

David S. Levine, Elon Law’s Jennings Professor and Emerging Scholar, partnered with Ted M. Sichelman of the University of San Diego School of Law to research why young companies in software, biotechnology, medical device, and hardware industries opt to use - or not use - laws that can protect competitive advantage and profits.

The annual effort kicked off in 2011 thanks in part to the work of an Elon alum serving with the armed forces in Afghanistan. 

Elon President Connie Ledoux Book presented the medallion to two retired faculty members and two steadfast supporters of the university during an event marking the start of a new academic year. The university also recognized four named professorships during the event.
