The chemistry department hosted its annual picnic and awards ceremony on Monday, May 8, and recognized outstanding achievements and academic excellence.

A scholar of international property law, Professor Henry Gabriel has traveled to Europe and Asia this spring for educational and legal advocacy work related to his areas of expertise.

The 1990 Elon alumna returns to her alma mater with more than 25 years of student affairs experience at multiple institutions.

The initiative is part of Elon's Center for Access and Success and pairs tutors with students in all levels of elementary and secondary school to help them succeed in school. 

At the annual Faculty/Staff Lunch on May 10, the Elon community honored six faculty members who are retiring his year. 

The move comes as Elon has expanded its offerings in the discipline since the launch of a public health studies minor more than a decade ago. 

Four members of Elon's faculty and staff along with 19 retiring employees were honored May 10 for excellence and service to Elon.

Professor of Music Thomas Erdmann had two articles published in the professional saxophone journal Saxophone Today.

This semester's edition marks the 15th in the history of the Elon Journal, the nation’s first and only undergraduate research journal in communications.

Jackson, vice president for student life and dean of students, will step down from his role at the end of this academic year after 24 years.
