Findings were shared Oct. 11, 2013, with representatives from several Alamance County agencies who took part in a study to uncover the motivations, benefits, and challenges of asking college students to volunteer.

The journal, which is the offical publication of Music Teachers National Association, published Shimron's review in the October/November 2013 issue.

Jessie L. Moore, Peter Felten, and Michael Strickland contributed a chapter on Elon University's Faculty Writing Residencies to a new edited collection. "Supporting a Culture of Writing: Faculty Writing Residencies as a WAC Initiative" describes the annual writing residency that the authors launched in 2006. 

Flu vaccines will be offered free to faculty, staff and retirees courtesy of Elon this month.
