A team of School of Communications students oversaw the Broadcast Education Association’s Best of Festival Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas, managing all aspects of the live April 19 event. The student-run news organization was recognized across multiple categories in the SPJ Region 2 Mark of Excellence Awards, including seven first-place finishes.

Through a two-year fellows program, the six students in this multidisciplinary cohort will undertake mentored undergraduate research projects, enroll in specialized coursework and engage in community-based learning with diverse religious communities.
