Aspiring dancers from around the state spent Saturday with the Dance and Arts Administration programs in dance classes and informational sessions around higher education opportunities.

Elon, which won the Colonial Athletic Association regular season championship, will host Marshall University at Rudd Field on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m.

Elon Law’s Pro Bono Board hosted a November table tennis tournament that raised funds to restock a law school food pantry available as a resource for students.

Colin Donohue, Kelly Furnas and Megan Curling ’23 presented educational sessions while the School of Communications also ran a sponsorship table at the annual convention that welcomed approximately 3,200 attendees.

Groundbreaking innovators, Nan-Wei Gong and Anirudh Sharma, are coming to speak at Elon University’s C. Ashton Newhall Lecture Series on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Both Nan-Wei and Anirudh have extensive experiences as MIT Lab scientists and founders of technologically progressive companies.

Faculty members Brandon Sheridan, Lee Bush and Ilyssa Salomon share their experiences as first-generation college graduates and how to they serve as mentors for current first-generation students finding their way.

The 2022 Elon graduate from Garner, N.C., will serve a two-year term on the Elon University Board of Trustees.

The workshop is making a difference for Elon and Alamance County communities and is specially designed to help participants generate a mentoring constellation, explore opportunities for enhancing their connections and leave with next-step strategies for cultivating a lifelong network of support.
