Although many students, faculty and staff are away from campus to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the campus community still gathered to continue a long-standing Elon tradition on Tuesday.

All of Elon’s learning resources remain available to students online as campus buildings close, offering updated methods and policies, outlined on each resource’s website

Elon Counseling Services will continue to provide care to students in need as many members of the community are away from campus.

In an effort to promote continued community building during a time of social distancing, Elon will offer a variety of virtual events and opportunities for students, faculty and staff to stay connected.

Elon’s Real Estate Club spent three days in New York and New Jersey learning about careers in real estate from professionals at Hunt Real Estate Capital, CBRE and Vision Real Estate Partners.

Through a winter International Business course, MBA students learned about the economic, legal, political and cultural environment of doing business in Vietnam and Singapore.

The Information Technology Service Desk will extend its hours to offer technology assistance to the Elon community during the university's transition to online learning.

The campus-wide change made in response to the COVID-19 outbreak comes as classes resume following Spring Break. Since Elon announced the change on March 11, faculty members have been working diligently to create robust online learning experiences for students.

The new policy was enacted in response to questions and concerns raised by Elon faculty, students and staff due to the extraordinary circumstances created by the coronavirus outbreak.

Associate Professor Amy Allocco's preparations for a shift to online learning are just one example of the efforts by faculty across the campus in response to the coronavirus outbreak, which has meant a temporary suspension of in-person classes.
