Elon’s School of Health Sciences welcomed two new classes of graduate students to the university community this week.

The Elon junior will participate in a 10-week investigative reporting assignment at Arizona State University this summer, examining how the federal government has responded to natural disasters ranging from hurricanes to wildfires.

The senior journalism major will spend 12 days examining the evolution of women in post-genocide Rwanda.

Nearly 1,000 students, faculty and staff are participating this month in 31 programs around the globe.

Winter Term 2019 will offer students a broad array of opportunities to explore these themes throughout the next month.

Service opportunities, gatherings and other special programs at Elon during January will commemorate the life and work of the late civil rights leader.
