Phi Lambda Upsilon inducts new members

The challenge, which began in November with an idea pitch, culminated in April with three teams presenting ventures to a panel of judges.

Paul LeBlanc ’18, who was awarded a Pulitzer Center Student Fellowship, published an April 30 article titled “In Belmarsh Prison: Radicalization or De-radicalization?”

Hundreds turned out for the annual Strawberry Festival and Plant Sale, an annual event produced by the Garden Studio class taught by Michael Strickland, lecturer in environmental studies and English. 

Helen Tsiolkas recently completed a legal residency-in-practice with The Carroll Companies, one of the region's largest real estate developers. She shared insights of her experience for the latest profile in an occasional series of stories on residency placements for Elon Law's Class of 2018.

Forty-one students were inducted into Elon’s Rho Eta chapter of the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society Sigma Delta Pi.

The School of Education sponsored a program that introduces student teachers to take care of themselves through mindfulness, with additional information shared about nutrition, sleep and fitness for the first-year teacher. 

The Love Award for Excellence in Business Leadership provided the senior with an opportunity to pursue a research project focusing on how involvement in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program impacts volunteers’ ability to effectively understand others’ situations.
