Elon University has made available online customized announcements for graduating seniors and their parents to submit to hometown newspapers.

 

The annual celebration honors outstanding fellows and scholars, providing them with the opportunity to share details of their work with their faculty members, peers and families prior to Commencement.

Students in the Class of May 2017 received their degrees in an Alumni Gym ceremony highlighted by remarks from Robert J. Grey Jr., a former president of the American Bar Association who implored the group to "guard against injustice." 

Graduation has been moved indoors to Alumni Gym due to the threat of afternoon rain and storms.

Members of the graduating class of Elon Business Fellows were presented with medallions in a ceremony in front of faculty, staff, family and friends.

Maity Interiano '07, a producer and on-air talent for Univision Network, delivered the 2017 Commencement address. 

More than 750 members of the Class of 2017 made a gift to Elon as part of this year's senior class giving campaign, raising more than $36,000 for Elon's Greatest Needs and other areas of interest.

Grace W. Ueng, founder and CEO of Savvy Growth, encouraged students receiving master’s degrees in business administration and management to endure through life’s challenges during her Commencement address May 19 in Whitley Auditorium.

On the eve of Commencement, students in the Class of May 2017 and their families gathered in the Elon Law library to recognize outstanding academic performance, pro bono work, and service to the law school.
