"Music in the Village" is seeking student musician volunteers to provide musical instruction to public school students enrolled in the "It Takes a Village Project."

The honor organization, in partnership with the Student Professional Development Center, organized the annual event, allowing students to connect with employers.

Carolina Farm Trust is seeking volunteers to help with Carolina Jubilee from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.

Two workshops, both containing the same information, will be held in October for first-year students interested in a health professions, such as the medical or dental fields, physician assistant programs, physical therapy, nursing and pharmacy.

The Elon University journalism major capitalized on his 10-week fellowship this summer, joining 30 student journalists to investigate the political divide between citizens with significant voting power and those without, particularly in disadvantaged communities.

Attorney and author Bryan Stevenson's book "Just Mercy" is the common reading assignment for all first-year Elon students this academic year. 

The Center for Leadership's Leadership Education and Development Program kicked off another year at the Sept. 11 Opening Ceremonies event in Lakeside Hall with a keynote address by Jon Dooley from Student Life.

Accounting and finance students were welcomed into the Lambda Xi chapter of the honor organization.
