The current chief scientist at Fusion-io will share his insights in Alumni Gym on Oct. 3, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. about the need to promote creativity and innovation in a technical environment. A Q&A in Whitley Auditorium takes place at 1:15 p.m.

Assist in face painting, set-up, greeting people and entertainment at the Community Day hosted by MorningStar Baptist Church, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Fill the need for volunteers at their Green Gala event this Saturday, Oct. 5. Assist with conferences, tours and community partners while learning about sustainable initiatives in the Burlington area.
