Elon students, faculty and staff marked the 50th anniversary of MLK's famous speech by coming together in McKinnon Hall to hear its rebroadcast and reflections from today's political and spiritual leaders.

The class for non-majors is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:40-3:20 p.m.

The interest meeting will be for a trip tentatively planned for Saturday, Sept. 7, at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Cost is $25

Elon University senior Joe Bruno, news director for student-run broadcast news station Elon Local News, attended a national journalism conference with communications professors.

McKinnon Hall will be open from 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Wednesday for members of the campus community who wish to watch events leading up to and following President Barack Obama's address as part of the "Let Freedom Ring" commemoration.

During his opening of school address, President Leo M. Lambert announced that over the next few years Elon University will more than quadruple available need-based aid for Study Abroad and Study USA.
