Several campus offices have participated in a program to help employees play leadership roles in creating sustainable practices.

Energy consumption, the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions at Elon University, accounted for 54 percent of total emissions.

Greenhouse gas emissions at Elon continued their decline in fiscal year 2010 from baseline measurements taken by the university in 2008. That reduction is the primary finding of the 3rd annual Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory released this month.

Elon’s sixth POWERless energy competition, which encourages students to conserve energy in residential buildings, ended this week.

Community on the Commons not only started the school year off right but was also a great success for sustainability at Elon. This event was planned around the ability to compost or recycle all items provided with the meal.

Zipcar, in partnership with Ford, has announced its "Students with Drive" program where the company will award $300,000 to student groups at Zipcar schools.

With the goal of reducing energy use in residence halls, the competition features prize drawings for students in the most improved buildings.
