Pamela M. Kiser, Watts-Thompson Professor in the Department of Human Service Studies and interim dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences, has been named Elon’s fourth Distinguished University Professor.

Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79, former chief executive officer of Wendys International, shared lessons from her storied career as the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business’ annual Legends of Business speaker on March 4. Anderson encouraged the overflow crowd in LaRose Digital Theatre to seize opportunities, embrace change, give back to the community and cultivate excellent communication skills to succeed in today’s business environment.

A film by alumnus Laith al-Majali, "Captain Abu Raed," can now be purchased as a DVD in the United States.

Margaret Dalton '09, who graduated with a bachelor's in music performance, was featured in a story in the March 4 edition of The Times-News of Burlington, N.C., about her performance in Capstone Theatrical's national touring production of "The Taffetas: A Musical Journey Through the Fabulous Fifties."

Ali Ford of the Phoenix women’s basketball team was named the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year by both the Southern Conference Sports Media Association and the 11 head coaches. Ford became the second straight Elon player to receive the award, after Tiara Gause picked up the honor last season. Ford was also the only underclassman named to the coaches’ All-Southern Conference team.
