Environmental Studies assistant professor Josh Kapfer recently co-authored a manuscript published in the Journal of Zoology titled "Modeling the relationship between habitat preferences and home-range size: a case study on a large mobile colubrid snake from North America."

David Vandermast, an assistant professor of biology and environmental studies, was elected chair of the Southeastern Chapter of the Ecological Society of America this week at the Association of Southeastern Biologists annual meeting in Asheville, N.C.

Kathy Gallucci presented her paper, "Ethnobotany in Samoa," at the Kampong in Coconut Grove, Fla., on Feb. 13, 2010, at the Annual Meeting of the Fellows of the National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG).
