The CATL Teaching and Learning Grants program supports innovative teaching and learning projects. We had a record number of applications this year and were able to fund approximately 50 percent of the requests.
CATL Scholars selected for 2011-2013

The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning has named Elon University faculty members Michelle Trim, David Neville and Ketevan Kupatadze as CATL Scholars for 2011-2013. The selection process was highly competitive, with 10 faculty applying for the three positions.

First-year college students do most of their writing via text messaging and social networks, but it’s not always a type of writing they say they most value, according to new research co-authored by a team of Elon University professors. That leads to the next questions in what promises to be an ongoing project: why do they value what they value, and how can academia catch up with their use of writing technologies?
