Final approval came at the Accrediting Council meeting on April 27-28 in Chicago.

Gabrielle Beamon ’19, Ozelle Bower ’19, Anissa Cooper ’19 and Janay Tyson ’19 are among the 60 undergraduate students nationwide to receive highly selective scholarships provided by The LAGRANT Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes diversity in the fields of advertising, graphic design, marketing and public relations.

Sixteen communications faculty and staff members attended the 2018 Broadcast Education Association conference and Festival of Media Arts, where students accepted three top awards and led the video documentation of the Las Vegas event's research symposium.

Cinelon Productions will host its annual showcase on Thursday, May 3, in Turner Theatre. The festival begins with a red-carpet event at 6 p.m., followed by film screenings at 7 p.m.

Elon seniors Rachel Hayes and Shelby Baitsholts were recognized by Triangle AdFed for their creative works produced as part of the communication design curriculum. Additionally, Baitsholts’ package design earned a silver medal in an Innovation Center for Design Excellence competition.

Elon's daylong Spring Undergraduate Research Forum puts the spotlight on cutting-edge undergraduate research through poster and oral presentations around Elon's campus. 

The school hosted its end-of-year awards celebration on April 19 to acknowledge high achievement from students and faculty.

The university's top award comes with $20,000 to support and celebrate academic and creative achievements.
