Several School of Communications students and graduates were recognized during the Nov. 12 event held at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Newspapers around North Carolina recently featured a guest column by Tom Nelson, associate professor of communications, who writes about modern lessons to be learned from the Spanish Civil War.

A national audience learned about the project, started this summer in Colorado Springs, Colorado, by Alex Lewis '16, during the Nov. 14 news report.

Fletcher Rowe ’19 and Alex Hale ’19 pitched marketing ideas to the public relations agency’s clients, attempting to solve real-life issues facing the organizations.

Four students and a staff member from the School of Communications provided video and social media coverage for the annual forum that brings together world leaders to discuss perspectives relating to food, health and prosperity. 

Eric Hernandez ’16, a cinema and television arts major, discusses the support he received and knowledge he gained while competing in the contest for up-and-coming filmmakers.

Faculty and staff members presented sessions and ran a sponsorship table at an Indianapolis, Indiana, convention that drew nearly 4,000 attendees.
