The Elon in Los Angeles program entered its fourth summer when the program began in early June. This year, 39 students traveled west to live, take classes and do internships in the entertainment capital of the world. Students from several different majors are interning at various locations throughout the city.

Senior Elon Communications student Philip Kimbrough directed the winning film in the 2011 Sprite Refreshing Films contest. His work was shown at the Los Angeles Film Festival earlier this summer.

School of Communications and Interactive Media graduate Lars Bredahl ’10, G’11 has received media attention from USA Today and Florida news outlets for a project he completed in his iMedia Capstone course in the spring for the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge in Sanibel, Fla.
