Sen. Marc Basnight, one of the most powerful politicians in North Carolina, visited Elon April 24 to share advice with students – “being responsible means being honest” – and to learn more about efforts on campus to help the environment and serve the Alamance County community.

Five School of Communications students participated in the National Conference on Undergraduate Research April 10-12 at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Md.

The Elon University Bateman Team recorded a top 10 finish in the 2008 competition, which featured entries from close to 100 teams representing 76 colleges and universities. 

Dean Paul Parsons of Elon's School of Communications has been nationally elected to his third term on the Teaching Standards Committee of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC).

James Michael Foreman, an Elon University student who died one year ago, was remembered Friday on the anniversary of his death with a ceremony and butterfly release outside the main entrance to the Moseley Center.

The North Carolina Press Foundation voted unanimously at is February meeting to pledge a $30,000 endowment grant to the North Carolina Open Government Coalition.
