Two School of Communications broadcast students placed well in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence Awards competition for the 2007 calendar year.

Dale Harrison, assistant director of the Sunshine Center and instructor in the School of Communications, and Hunter Bacot, associate professor of political science, presented Saturday at the first annual North Carolina College Media Association conference at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill

A new media manager for WCBS 880 AM and Elon alumnus will visit the School of Communications on April 10-11.

Elondocs, the documentary film society in the School of Communications, had two films screen at the Gate City Women’s Film Festival: Left Ahead, produced by associate professor Brooke Barnett and students Sarah Cox and Ryan Howard, and Degrees of Change, produced by Cox.

Mady de la Ossa, a senior journalism and corporate communications major, unveiled on April 4 her photo essay depicting the three main indigenous groups of Panama.

Three faculty members in the School of Communications were recognized for their outstanding work this academic year during the spring Advisory Board luncheon Friday afternoon.

The Advisory Board for the School of Communications will be making its spring visit to campus Friday, and the discussion will focus mainly on how interactive media have changed how professional organizations interact with audiences and consumers.
