At its annual awards celebration on May 7 in Turner Theatre, the School of Communications recognized outstanding student accomplishments, presented its Outstanding Senior Awards, and honored this year’s Kappa Tau Alpha honor society inductees.

The student-run public relations and advertising agency captured gold and silver honors at the American Advertising Awards, with a bold “Summer Shrimp Boil” promotional postcard leading the way.

A team of School of Communications students oversaw the Broadcast Education Association’s Best of Festival Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas, managing all aspects of the live April 19 event. The experience paired high-level production work with the opportunity to meet renowned cinematographer Sir Roger Deakins.
