The newest cohort of scholars will participate in a program that helps Elon University faculty integrate sustainability into an existing course.

RTI International, an independent, non-profit institute, will share how they are are turning data into practice by addressing poverty and health care challenges around the world.

Dave Powell presented a paper co-authored with Joel Hollingsworth titled "Improving a Computer Science I Course with Flipped Instruction and Faculty Guides" at The 2015 International Conference on Frontiers in Education: Computer Science and Computer Engineering held from July 27-30, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

It takes patience to correct misspelled words, convert file formats and remove incomplete records when analyzing large amounts of information contained in databases and spreadsheets. A new book by Elon University Professor Megan Squire helps to make such tasks easier.

Offered by the Department of Computing Sciences, the information science program has earned praise from graduates who are advancing their careers or pursuing graduate degrees using concepts honed at Elon University.
