Tess Taylor, acclaimed author of "Work & Days," will deliver the keynote lecture of the International English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta, on Monday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 pm in McKinnon Hall, Moseley Center.

With "ENGage your Passions, PoWeR your Lives!" Elon University's English Department joins forces with the Student Professional Development Center to host an inaugural career event designed for majors, minors and all students interested in the humanities. The event will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Lakeside meeting rooms from 4:15 to 6:30 p.m. 

The grant will allow Biology major Alina Iwan '19 to travel to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama in 2019 to continue a faculty mentored research project. 

Fisher, a biological anthropologist and chief science advisor of Match.com, delivered at a talk in Whitley Auditorium on Oct. 24 as part of the Elon Liberal Arts Forum lecture series.
