The "Opening Doors" story series celebrates the power of scholarships to change the lives of Elon students and the generosity of donors who make this transformation possible.

The recognitions come as Elon prepares for a first-round contest against Furman University in the university's second-ever NCAA Division I Football Championship appearance. 

The Elon Phoenix will host top-ranked James Madison University at Rhodes Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 18, at noon, with selections for the NCAA FCS playoffs to take place on Sunday. Want to attend a playoff game? Find more information here. 

The 5,100-seat, 160,000-square-foot facility will provide a premier gathering space for major campus events and serve as the new home for Elon's basketball and volleyball programs when it opens next year.

The quarterback helped lead the Phoenix to its sixth-straight win on Saturday with a victory over the University of Rhode Island. 

The celebration of men's and women's basketball at Elon will kick off the final season for the teams inside historic Alumni Gym. 

The home win on Family Weekend brings the team's record to 5-1, the first time Elon has hit that mark since 2009. 

The home contest comes as Elon looks to extend a three-game winning streak that has landed the Phoenix at No. 23 in national rankings. 

The 36-33 win over the University of Richmond on Saturday, Sept. 23, pushes the Phoenix's winning streak to three games and its record on the season to 3-1. 

Mike Ward comes to Elon from the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of the executive staff of the Athletics Department for the past six years.
