Elon University's director of Athletics will be recognized in June alongside three other collegiate athletic directors during the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics' annual convention.

As Miles Williams ’15 co-captained the Elon Phoenix football team over the past year, he was also conducting undergraduate research just a few miles away on the way hip hop music might help African-American children develop self-confidence and a sense of self.

A 3-0 win over Winthrop on Thursday night sends the Elon Phoenix to Clemson University on Sunday for a 6 p.m. game against the second-ranked Tigers in the 2016 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship tournament.
