Kim Lilienthal and Kyle Whitaker presented their Honors research projects at the  2014 Conference on College Composition and Communication in Indianapolis on March 20.

More than $5,000 in prize money to be used at Barnes & Noble was awarded during College Coffee on March 18 as winners of the university's Human Rights and Social Justice Writing Contest were announced.

The associate professor of English and coordinator of the university's African & African-American Studies program proposed, organized, chaired and presented research in Black female resistance with Elon University senior strategic communications major Raven Bennett.

The associate professor of English will be reading excerpts from his new novel, Kids These Days, at 7 p.m. in Johnston Hall.

Lisa Rosenberg, Belle Booker, Kris Zorigian, Angela Owusu-Ansah and Victoria Shropshire will use funding to help develop innovative approaches to writing in various courses.

Jeffrey Coker, associate professor of biology and director of general studies; Rosemary Haskell, professor of English; and Thomas Nelson, associate professor of communications, recently published "Teaching Global Studies to All Undergraduates: A Required First-Year Course."

The associate professor of English was honored for a paper published in the September 2012 issue of Business Communication Quarterly and for her overall contributions to the mission and membership of the association.

The student media organizations were both recognized as NCCMA Best of Show winners.
