The annual event offered academic, clinical and career guidance to 200 students from 13 of North Carolina's Doctor of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant programs. 

Alamance County's science café meets on the second Tuesday of each month during the academic year. 

Elon University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program students volunteered with the Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation to help make people with amputation, spinal cord injury and other physical challenges comfortable around water.

An article by Shaun Lynch, assistant professor and academic coordinator in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, was published in February’s issue of Clinician Reviews, a peer-reviewed clinical journal for nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

U.S. News & World Report ranked Elon's program No. 37 in the country among 170 programs. The 2020 rankings mark the first time the program has been eligible for inclusion in the rankings. 

Thirty-eight candidates in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program received degrees Saturday in a Whitley Auditorium ceremony featuring remarks from Preston Hammock, president of Alamance Regional Medical Center and senior vice president at Cone Health.

The poster session was part of the N.C. Academy of Physician Assistants Winter Meeting.  

Hillary McDonald, third-year PA student attended the 2019 Triangle Health Innovation Challenge (thinc) held Feb. 1-3. The 3-day hackathon held at the Duke School of Medicine joined teams of students from the Triangle's regional colleges and universities to solve pressing problems in healthcare.

The meeting was held Jan. 23-26 in Washington, D.C., with 17,000 people attending.
