Amy L. Allocco, an assistant professor in the Department of Religious Studies, presented a paper titled “Making Mountains out of Anthills at a South Indian Goddess Temple” at a conference organized around the theme “Mountains in the Religions of South and Southeast Asia: Place, Culture, and Power” in the capital city of Thimphu in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

Doctor of Physical Therapy student, Danielle Gilbert, recently completed a four-week experience in Migori, Kenya. Gilbert opted for an independent study during her Advanced Clinical Practice Selective course and worked at St. Joseph Mission Hospital. A third-year student from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Gilbert completed her undergraduate degree at Elon in 2009 with a major in exercise science, and had studied abroad in Ghana during a winter term.

Paul J. Geis, assistant director for affiliations and exchanges in the Isabella Cannon International Centre, participated in the inaugural Fulbright Nehru International Education Administrators Seminar in India this spring for international education administrators from the United States.
