Isabella Cannon to be honored on Founders Day – March 10

Isabella Cannon ’24, an immigrant from Scotland who would travel the world before her election as the first female mayor of North Carolina's capital city, will be recognized March 10 as part of Elon University’s annual Founders Day celebrations to commemorate the lives of administrators, faculty and trustees who impacted the growth of the institution.

Woody Pelton named next Dean of International Programs

Lee Heywood (Woody) Pelton has been named the next Dean of
International Programs and Director of the Isabella Cannon Centre at
Elon University. Pelton, who begins his duties at the end of May, comes
from Winthrop University in South Carolina where he has directed The
International Center for the past two years.
